On Thursday, September 6, 2012, Cal EMA, in cooperation with several state, local, and volunteer organizations, established a Local Assistance Center (LAC) in the town of Manton, CA.

The LAC is designed to create a “one-stop-shop” for victims of the Ponderosa Fire seeking information and resources to aid in their steps toward recovery. From assistance in replacing important documents such as tax forms and vehicle registration which may have been lost, to guidance on rebuilding, over 20 organizations were on hand to help Tehama County residents down the road to recovery.
